Frank Varga was born in Budapest,Hungary, in 1943, and has resided in
Belgium, France, Italy, Canada and the United States. After serving an
apprenticeship with his father, Professor
Ferenc Varga, an Internationally acclaimed sculptor, he received a
scholarship to study at the Academia di Belle Arte in Florence, Italy.
He worked under Antonio Berti whose great works are in the
Vatican National Museum Collection.
After receiving his Doccumento di Arte from the Accademia di Belle, he
returned to the United States to continue his association with his father
Professor Ferenc Varga and also earned a
BA in fine arts from Honolulu University.

Varga is noted for his monumental sculptures. One of International acclaim is in the
harbor of Bremerhaven, Germany. It is over 6 meters high, titled the Immigrants, and it
faces towards the United States. Every ship entering the port sails past
the sculpture. The dedication of this statue was coordinated with the
re-dedication of the Statue of Liberty, making this event a most celebrated
International occasion. His works are displayed in many cities throughout
the world, including a portrait of John F. Kennedy in the White House and
a bronze portrait bust of Pope John Paul in the Vatican. Varga’s sculptures are
in numerous public art displays including many throughout Palm Beach County
where his Sculpturing Studio is located in Delray Beach.
Internationally noted sculptor Frank Varga of Palm Beach County
has produced literally hundreds ofsculptures ranging in size and materials such as
wood, metal and stonedisplaying his versatility in the sculptured media.
