Center for Philanthropy on May 6 

and introduce the 

Giving is Good Children's Project!

We look forward to seeing you on May 6! It’s going to be a GREAT day!

Excitement is building in Palm Beach County for the GREAT GIVE on May 6. The 24-hour online giving event is designed to raise as much money as possible for local nonprofits in a single day (midnight – 11:59 p.m.). Hosted by the Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties and United Way of Palm Beach County, this county-wide event will celebrate the spirit of giving and collective effort it takes to strengthen our community. There are over 220 nonprofits in Palm Beach and Martin counties registered to participate in the GREAT GIVE.

Giving is Good Project with Rolando Chang Barrero

This event is free and open to all children and parents.

Rolando Chang Barrero will be the host artist working with children (and parents) on 

a special painting project designed to gain an understanding of the joy being a part of the community the encourages "giving."

This project is made possible in part by ActivisArtistA Gallery and  Jerry's Artarama WPB 

"Giving is Good Project..."  

"...the project will allow children and parents to explore the benefits of a charitable way of life and to create artwork that express those concerns they feel are important."

Rolando Chang Barrero, is an artist and community leader.

He has been working with various traditional and non-traditional entities to 

support change for over 30 years.

He is the recipient of a Congressional letter of Commendation for his work with children in environmentalism, and most recently touted as 

one of Palm Beach Counties Green Trailblazers.
