The Letter:

"The City has never allowed monthly events as our Special Event Process is only for events that are considered “temporary”.  The City is currently looking into possibly obtaining a process to accommodate monthly events, but at this time it is undetermined as to whether we will allow monthly events in the future or how long it will take to create such a process.  If in the future we do allow for monthly events, I welcome you to apply for the permit, but until such time, all monthly events that are currently scheduled must be canceled.  However, you are still welcome to apply for a Special Event Permit for your annual events as these are considered temporary events.  I apologize for having to pass along this news to you.  If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me."

422 West Industrial Ave.
Boynton Beach FL 33426

For more than a month now, everything has been all red and green or blue and white for the holidays. That part of the season is finally over. Get ready to retire your Festivus gear -- including that much beloved ugly Christmas sweater -- and prepare for the New Year. In honor of the next big holiday, ActivistArtistA Gallery is holding a special private gallery opening reception for Black & White Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. The exhibit will run through January 17. And you guessed it: Guests are asked to wear black and white. The event, which is more formal than most of the openings at ActivistArtistA, will feature some of the area's top local artists: Yure Alencar, Anthony Burks, Paul Caprio, Chisolm, Kim Fay. Finger foods, soda, and wine -- for $5 to $7 -- will be available. The event is free, but RSVP is required. The gallery is located at 422 W. Industrial Ave. in Boynton Beach. Short History

ActivistArtistA Gallery Grand Opening: November 11, 2011

Rolando Chang Barrero's ActivistArtistA Bay Gates Project began with the installation of Chan Shephard's "Madrina," which adorns the curator's studio gate. The last installment completed to date was Lucia Hare-Leahy's "Wild West Hero," projected animation on April 26, 2012.
Like a phoenix, the Boynton Beach Art District has risen high and continues to soar.
Instead of ashes, this phoenix was raised for the oil slicks of the industrial neighborhood just west of I95 off of Boynton Beach Blvd., on West Industrial Ave.

The history of The District begins back to the late 80's when artist Richard Beau-Lieu first took to the area. Opening a studio and initiating the cleanup of the rubbish filled street, Richard was intrumental in getting the area recognized as the Neighborhood Arts District of Boynton Beach in 1989.
